Hello,
I’m a civil engineer and I’m currently experiencing the joy of studying at a second university. I’m a senior in the Department of Management Information Systems. This program is taking up more time than I anticipated; time is always scarce. In fact, I have so many things I want to do that it’s impossible to find time for everything. All I can say is that I’m constantly on the go; I never stop.
Despite my advanced age, I’m studying at a second university, but I don’t see any harm in that. In fact, I want to graduate as soon as possible and study Business Administration, combining my studies and achieving a synergy. Yes, my goal is to pursue a third undergraduate degree. Studying at an open university isn’t a disadvantage; it’s actually a tremendous opportunity. There are vast resources available, and everyone can benefit from them based on their own time and effort. I also want to study Business Administration at an open university.
I’m looking for a job in IT to build a career and gain broader experience. I’ve postponed my studies in civil engineering. Just as I haven’t done so in the past nine years, I don’t plan to pursue a civil engineering career in the next 5-10 years. No matter how old I get, I will definitely work as a civil engineer one day. My civil engineering education is beneficial in every field; I see its benefits everywhere. It’s given me the ability to think analytically.
I live in Istanbul. I’ve become so accustomed to this place that living elsewhere wouldn’t even cross my mind. However, learning foreign languages is another of my interests; I speak several. I’m actually interested in foreign languages, and if I had the time, I’d like to become proficient in 12. While it’s a challenging goal, there are many people who have achieved it. For now, I’m still very much at the beginning of the journey. The world is becoming increasingly global, and communication channels are improving. While borders haven’t disappeared, accessing information has become easier.
I’m constantly evolving, spending my free time reading books and participating in online training. I’m always committed to learning new things. A significant portion of my life is devoted to personal development.
This is my personal blog, and it’s constantly under construction. I’m constantly adding new things. You can find a lot of information about me here.
ABOUT ME←
I was born in 1976 in the People’s Republic of Bulgaria. I spent my childhood there. I came to the Republic of Turkey in 1989 and became a citizen of the Republic of Turkey. I am a citizen of the Republic of Bulgaria (EU) and the Republic of Turkey.
I spent a significant part of my youth in Adana, where I first settled, and completed my secondary and high school education there. In 1995, I came to Istanbul to study at university and moved here. My university education lasted a long time.
I graduated in 2010 and started my professional life as a civil engineer in 2011. After working as a civil engineer for about six years, I decided to have a new profession. In my high school education, I studied in the department of information processing (information technologies), where information and business subjects were taught intensively. I decided to study in the same field at university and started my education in the Department of Management Information Systems at the Open Education Faculty in 2022. I am still a student there.
I live in Sultangazi/Istanbul. I am not working, I am looking for a suitable job for myself. I am impatient to find a job, but I want to work in information technologies instead of civil engineering. I will not be doing civil engineering these days.
The areas I am interested in are many and diverse, especially
Construction,
Informatics and
Business.

CIVIL ENGINEERING←
I graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering in 2010. I started my career by doing Static Project Designs of Reinforced Concrete Structures, continued with Technical Office Engineering. Then I worked as a Construction Site Manager for a few years.
After working as a Civil Engineer for about six years, I started a search and research to learn new professions. After learning a little Graphic Design and Web Design, my interest in computers revived and I also became curious about Computer Programming. Then I decided to organize my high school information, measured and weighed what I knew about informatics and decided to improve my informatics knowledge.
Due to my advancing age and economic opportunities, it was not possible for me to study at a new university, but after the pandemic, distance education had also increased its popularity. Open education was a great opportunity and a unique opportunity. I started studying at the Department of Management Information Systems in Open Education. Another reason I chose this department was that Business courses were also offered in the same department. I am also thinking of studying Business Administration when I graduate from here.
Now, time is not enough, there is so much to learn and so little time. I work in a planned and scheduled manner. My goal is to produce solutions suitable for the Construction Sector and other sectors by combining my Civil Engineering and Informatics, Management knowledge. I did not give up on Civil Engineering, I just put it on hold for a while. In the coming years, I will start reading specifications and reviewing design software again. Today, the biggest problem for everything is the scarcity of time, I hope that no other major problems arise.
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS←
The information technology education I received in the Information Technologies Department of Adana Anatolian Trade Vocational High School, which I started in 1991 and graduated in 1995, was beneficial to me throughout my life. My knowledge increased at a decreasing pace. Although I had extensive knowledge in information technology, I was not knowledgeable enough to work in information technology. I wanted to close this gap, and perhaps take a step to become a software engineer in the future, and I became a student at the Anadolu University Open Education Faculty, Department of Management Information Systems in 2022.
In the Department of Management Information Systems, information technology subjects are given in a blended manner with Business Administration subjects. The main purpose is to produce reports (tables and graphs) that will support decision making for managers, and to produce and distribute reports that will support the activities of the business. Therefore, the education I am receiving also provides a good knowledge of Business.
When I was in the second year, I was impatient and bought books that contained more general information and expanded my horizons in this regard. Now I am moving forward with more confident steps and I know what to do well. I believe that I will be in a better position in the future in subjects such as Data Mining, Business Intelligence Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and I am creating the necessary infrastructure.
BUSINESS←
I graduated from the Civil Engineering undergraduate program in 2010. I am currently a student in the Open Education Faculty, Department of Management Information Systems. I believe that if I receive Business Administration education after graduating from Management Information Systems, I will be more successful in my job. In fact, I see Management Information Systems as a sub-section of Business Administration. A Business Manager (Manager, …) who has received Management Information Systems education can be more knowledgeable and successful.
